چکیده
This article proposes and studies different sigma–delta ( $\Sigma$ notation="LaTeX">$\Delta$ ) modulation strategies for obtaining a constant common-mode voltage (CMV) by eliminating the CMV level transitions in five-phase source inverter (VSI). These techniques are based on choosing vectors that generate with values of 0.1 notation="LaTeX">$V_{\text{dc}}$ or –0.1 . Because high-switching frequencies used wide-bandgap semiconductors, pulse-width continually high d v /d xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">t values. Therefore, proposal to combine strategy vector selections achieves due elimination its transitions, reduction conducted electromagnetic interference high-efficiency converter operation. The average number switching per transistor VSI is analyzed using results from MATLAB/Simulink PLECS simulations. Experimental obtained applying proposed silicon carbide MOSFETs. demonstrate achievement aforementioned features.

Five-level NPC-VSI Capacitor Voltage Balancing Using a Novel Clamping Bridge
A serious constraint in multilevel inverters is the capacitor voltage-balancing problem. The unbalance of the different DC voltage sources of the five-level Neutral Point Clamping Voltage Source Inverter (NPC-VSI) constituted the major limitation for the use of this power converter. To remedy to this problem, a new control solution to compensate the unbalanced DC voltages for the five-level NPC...
متن کاملCompensation PWM Technique for Extended Output Voltage Range in Three-Phase VSI Using Three Shunt Resistors
This paper proposes a compensation PWM technique for the extension of output voltage ranges in three-phase VSI applications using three shunt resistors. The proposed technique aims to solve the dead zone, which occurs in high modulation indexes. In the dead zone, two phase currents cannot be sampled correctly, so that the three-phase VSI cannot be operated up to the maximum output voltage. The ...
متن کاملPerformance Improvement of Single-Phase Transformerless Grid-Connected PV Inverters Regarding Common-Mode Voltage (CMV) and LVRT
The single-phase transformerless grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) systems, mainly the low-power single-phase systems, require high efficiency, small size, lightweight, and low-cost grid-connected inverters. However, problems such as leakage current, the DC current injection and safety issues are incorporated with transformerless grid-connected PV inverters. Besides, the new standards such as Lo...
متن کاملElimination of the Voltage Oscillation Influence in the 3-Level VSI Drive Using Sliding Mode Control Technique
Today the three-level voltage-source inverters (3LVSI) are active used in the AC drive thanks to their merits as output signal quality improvements and a lower common mode voltage for semiconductor switches. However, their increased control complexity is the main barrier on the way to their extensive use. The cause is from one side a nonlinear feature of control plant that is a series coupling ...
متن کاملResistor Controlled Voltage-Mode Eight-Phase Sinusoidal Oscillator Using MOCCIs
A simple scheme is given for the realization of a voltage mode three-output sinusoidal oscillator (VMTOSO). Using this scheme a negative type second generation current conveyor, [CCII(-)]-based VMTOSO is realized. The [CCII(-)]-based VMTOSO is then transformed into a multioutput current conveyor [MOCCII]-based voltage mode eight-phase sinusoidal oscillator (VMEPSO) by replacing all the CCII(-) ...
